UAE passport strongest regionally and fifth globally

According to the global passport index issued by Henley & Partners, the UAE passport ranked fifth globally in 2026 as the strongest travel document, allowing its holder to enter a larger number of countries.

The UAE passport came first regionally and advanced globally from its ranking in 2025, allowing entry to 184 global destinations without the need for a visa.

The passport surpassed the UK passport, which ranked seventh globally, and the Canadian passport, which ranked ninth globally, while Singapore retained the strongest passport in the world, providing access to approximately 192 destinations.

The Henley & Partners Passport Index includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, providing users with the most comprehensive and reliable information about their global access and freedom of movement.
