Sharjah announces temporary closure of road separating Al Juraina 1 and Al Qarain 1 from Jan.9

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) is implementing a temporary closure of the road separating Al Juraina 1 and Al Qarain 1 areas as part of its regular maintenance work to improve the efficiency of the road.

The closure comes as part of SRTA’s ongoing plans to develop the road network, enhance traffic safety levels and improve the quality of infrastructure in all areas of the emirate with a view to meeting the needs of residents and road users alike.

The closure, which begins on Friday (Jan.9) and continue until Sunday Jan.11, is part of SRTA’s comprehensive programme to maintain roads and improve their operational efficiency to ensure smooth traffic flow.

SRTA affirmed that during the closure period it would implement the work according to the highest approved technical standards and would take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of road users and workers at the project site in co-ordination with the concerned authorities.

SRTA urges road users to abide by the approved traffic diversions, use alternative routes and comply with traffic safety guidelines and temporary directional signs in order to maintain everyone’s safety and ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the closure.

It stressed that these temporary measures primarily aim to provide a more efficient and safer road network, reflecting the emirate’s vision of providing advanced and sustainable infrastructure that serves various segments of society.
