Beit Al Khair Society has launched the third edition of its Ramadan campaign, “Recognized Right” to benefit more than 65,000 registered beneficiaries besides a number of charitable projects across the UAE.
The details of the campaign were unveiled by officials including Abdeen Taher Al Awadhi, Director General of the Society, Mohammed Ali Abu Rahima, Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs and Resource Development, and Halima Al Dhannhani, Assistant Director General for Research and Branches, in a press conference held in its headquarters in Dubai and was attended by senior office-bearers and media to get more information on the objectives and humanitarian projects for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Abdeen Taher Al Awadhi, in his speech, said that he confirmed that “the campaign aims to support and bring happiness to more than 65,000 registered beneficiaries, in addition to other groups among the most vulnerable, enabling them to meet their living needs and enjoy the spiritual and social atmosphere of the Holy Month.”
He noted that this year’s campaign coincides with the wise leadership’s declaration of 2026 as the “Year of the Family.”
“Beit Al Khair focuses on supporting low-income Emirati families, improving their living standards, and enhancing their social stability through charitable programmes and projects aimed at alleviating their economic burden during Ramadan,” he added.
He revealed that the Society has set an ambitious target of spending Dhs68.9 million as part of the “Recognized Right 3” campaign, distributed across several charitable projects and programmes. These include the distribution of Ramadan food supplies valued at Dhs7 million to support family iftar meals, Zakat Al Fitr projects worth Dhs2.5 million, and Eidiya (Eid gifts) worth Dhs1.2 million, bringing joy to beneficiary families during Eid Al Fitr. The campaign also includes monthly cash and in-kind support totaling Dhs7.6 million for low-income Emirati families.
Al Awadhi added that this year, the Society aims to distribute 50,000 iftar meals daily at a cost of Dhs18 million, and to set up 12 Ramadan tents, including the largest iftar tent in the country, accommodating more than 8,000 fasting individuals daily.
The campaign also includes the Debtors (Al Gharimeen) project valued at Dhs6 million, as well as emergency assistance that allocates Dhs26.5 million to meet urgent needs and demonstrate social solidarity during the Ramadan season.
The “Recognized Right 3” campaign represents the culmination of 37 years of continuous giving since the establishment of Beit Al Khair in 1989, during which the Society has spent over Dhs3.1 billion to support deserving families from various social segments, following best practices and standards of quality and excellence, earning it prestigious awards.
At the conclusion of the press conference, Al Awadhi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to donors, partners, and supporters from both the public and private sectors, commending their significant role in the success of Beit Al Khair’s previous campaigns.
