The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that, with effect from Thursday, 1 January, Emirati travellers to Georgia must ensure that they have valid health and accident insurance policies, which they must present upon arrival in accordance with specific requirements.
The policies must be valid for the entire duration of the stay and be written in English or Georgian. They must also have a minimum coverage of 30,000 Georgian Lari and be issued by reputable insurance companies, whether foreign or Georgian, or through airlines.
The Ministry confirmed that holders of diplomatic, special and service passports are exempt from this requirement.
