UAE weather body predicts continued rainfall until Sunday

Sunday's weather will be generally partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over the islands and some coastal and western areas, with a chance of rain and a gradual and slight rise in temperatures, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM stated that the weather will be humid at night and on Monday morning in some coastal and western interior areas, while winds will be light to moderate blowing from the southwest to northwest, occasionally active and stirring dust, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 35 km/h and the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
The NCM explained that heavy rain fell on scattered areas in the country on Saturday morning, causing valleys to flow and large water accumulations in low areas.
Large water accumulations were seen in valleys and low lying areas.
These rains are expected to continue on Sunday due to the country's being affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an extension of an upper atmospheric low-pressure system.
Monday's weather is expected to be partly to occasionally cloudy, with some clouds appearing over the islands and some western areas, humid at night and on Tuesday morning in some coastal and western interior areas and winds will be light to moderate blowing from the northeast to southeast, occasionally active during the day in the north, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20, amounting to 35 km/h, while the sea will be rough to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to calm in the Sea of Oman.
Authorities successfully mitigated the impact of the recent weather system affecting the country.
Tuesday's weather is expected to be generally partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over the islands and some western areas and will be humid at night and on Wednesday morning, with a possibility of light fog forming in some western interior areas. Winds, according to the NCM, will be light to moderate, blowing from the northeast to southeast, occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20, amounting to 35 km/h and the sea will be calm to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and calm in the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday's weather is expected to be generally partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing over the islands and some coastal and western areas, humid at night and on Thursday morning in some coastal and inland areas.
Winds, according to the NCM, will blow from the northeast to northwest, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20, amounting to 35 km/h and the sea will be light to moderate, occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf, and light in the Sea of Oman.
The NCM reported that the lowest temperature in the country, 3.5 degrees Celsius, was recorded Saturday morning on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, at 00:00 UAE local time.
