The National Centre of Meteorology reported that heavy rains fell on scattered areas across the country on Friday morning, causing the flow of valleys and large water accumulations in low-lying areas.
The NCM added that rains are expected to continue for three days due to the country's being impacted by an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper atmospheric low-pressure system. The NCM stated that the minimum temperature on Friday reached 8.5°C, while the maximum temperatures ranged between 25 and 30°C, and the minimum between 11°C and 17°C.
Saturday's weather is expected to be partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with the formation of some cumulonimbus clouds accompanied by rainfall in some coastal, northern, and eastern areas.
Winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly, moderate to active in speed, and occasionally strong and dust-stirring, with speeds ranging from 15 to 30 km/h, amounting to 50 km/h and the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman, the NCM clarified.
