The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai welcomed travellers arriving in the UAE with a special stamp bearing the phrase "Bahrain, Heart and Eye," in celebration of the Bahrain National Day.
This initiative embodies the deep, brotherly, and historical ties that unite the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, reflecting the bonds of love and mutual respect between the two countries and peoples, established through a long history of cooperation and integration.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri Director General, GDRFA Dubai, said: "We are proud to share the brothers in the Kingdom of Bahrain their national joy. The relationship between our two countries is deeply rooted in brotherhood, understanding, and joint work, forming a model to be emulated in cooperation between brotherly states."
Al Marri added: "We always strive to make every traveller arriving in Dubai feel that this moment is the beginning of an exceptional experience. Celebrating travellers is part of our mission to establish a service model that puts humans first and highlights Dubai’s position as a bridge of love and communication between peoples."
On his part, Major General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti, Assistant Director-General for Airports Affairs at GDRFA Dubai, affirmed that this initiative reflects Dubai Residency’s commitment to providing a comprehensive arrival experience that considers the human and cultural dimensions of national occasions. He pointed out that airports represent the first interface through which travellers meet Dubai, necessitating care to ensure that the arrival experience expresses values of respect, celebration, and the spirit of brotherhood that unites the UAE with its brothers.
The welcoming atmosphere included events reflecting the spirit of the occasion and adding a distinctive character to the arrival experience, by providing Bahraini flags at passport counters, designating a special lane for arrivals, and staff at the ports wearing wore national scarves.
The characters "Salim" and "Salama" also participated in welcoming travellers, and the smart gates appeared in the colours of the Bahraini flag, alongside the distribution of commemorative gifts, in a manner reflecting the deep human closeness between the two countries and embodying the spirit of brotherhood that has distinguished the Emirati-Bahraini relationship through various stages.
The adoption of this stamp reflects GDRFA's keenness to establish a comprehensive arrival environment that provides travellers with a comfortable experience from the very first moment and makes arrivals feel welcomed and cared for, within an institutional approach that keeps pace with the joint Gulf work journey and confirms the United Arab Emirates' commitment to enhancing cooperation and integration among the GCC countries, and to consolidating the values of brotherhood and unity that form a fundamental pillar in the path of development and stability in the region.
