Sharjah Civil Defence Authority has honoured, 10-year-old Saud Ahmed Al Jarwan, in recognition of his quick response and social responsibility after he reported a vehicle fire through the emergency number (997), a move that helped the rescue teams bring the incident under control within a short time.
The child's swift and selfless action played a crucial role in minimising damage and supporting the emergency response team.
Brigadier Youssef Obeid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Head of Sharjha Civil Defence, praised the child's bravery and quick thinking, emphasising that his actions reflect a high level of community awareness and support for civil defence efforts, ultimately helping to reduce losses and enhance public safety.
The recognition ceremony was held as part of the authority's commitment to fostering community partnerships and appreciating individual initiatives which demonstrate responsibility and cooperation with official entities.
