The Dubai Police General Command has called on drivers to exercise caution on the roads due to the expected rainy weather, urging them to follow all preventive measures, strictly adhere to traffic laws and regulations, reduce speed, leave sufficient safety distance, and not be distracted from the road.
The police confirmed their readiness to respond to emergency reports in mountainous areas and valleys, as well as to deal with traffic accidents which occur during periods of inclement weather, stressing the importance of caution, staying away from waterways, and not crossing valleys in order to ensure public safety.
“Owners of boats, ships, canoes, yachts, and sea visitors are called on to monitor weather and climate conditions and comply with instructions to ensure public safety,” police said.
Also members of the public are asked by the Dubai Police to contact the Command and Control Centre at the General Directorate of Operations on 999 in case of emergencies, and on 901 in non-emergency situations, wishing everyone safety and security.
