His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that the work to be completed in the upcoming period in Muhadhab suburb would be double what was completed in the past period. Sheikh Sultan explained that the suburb included approximately 6,000 plots of land for building homes and that 2,000 houses located within residential complexes had already been built and handed over.
Sheikh Sultan said so during a conversation with the Direct Line programme, in which he affirmed that as soon as the completed housing units were handed over, work began on building 2,000 new ones.
Muhadhab suburb would be complete in all aspects including main roads such as the road that connects Al Shanouf area to Nizwa and the Emirates Road and all other services, he added.
Addressing the essential services that would be provided in the area such as nurseries, Sheikh Sultan revealed that he had directed that the lands designated for nurseries should be relocated to ensure they are easily accessible, cause no inconvenience to the residents and allow sufficient parking spaces to be available for parents.
Sheikh Sultan explained that the sites were ready for the construction of government schools in Muhadhab suburb and that co-ordination was underway with the Ministry of Education for these schools to be constructed.
Separately, in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Sultan and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, Khalid Bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Housing Department, announced the handing over of all 362 houses in Al Qatina 1 residential complex in Muhadhab to citizens.
Al Muhairi told “Direct Line” programme: In implementation of the directives of the Ruler of Sharjah and the follow-up of the Crown Prince, we announce the delivery of all the 362 houses in al “Qatina 1” residential complex in Muhadhab for citizens, which are designed from two floors with three different facades: modern, Islamic and local, and we are currently working on the completion of two other residential complexes.
