Thousands of volunteers of all ages, including children, flocked to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo Dubai to participate in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship initiative, which aims to prepare 10 million meals in support of the people of Gaza.
The initiative witnessed a large turnout from its early hours, with more than 6,000 volunteer applications registered in just 24 hours.
Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian Ship initiative was launched by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in collaboration with Operation Al Fares Al Shahim 3 to provide urgent food support to the people of Gaza by preparing 10 million meals, the largest of its kind in terms of community participation.
The Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City witnessed a flurry of activity as volunteers flocked to the site, including children who came with their families to help prepare meals, in a humanitarian gesture that reflects the younger generation's eagerness to participate in charitable work and their appreciation of the values of giving that are customary in the UAE.
The volunteers worked in organised teams supervised by specialised staff to ensure that the process ran smoothly and efficiently. Their tasks included preparing food, packaging, and logistics in preparation for shipping the meals to Gaza as part of the ongoing relief campaign.
The initiative underscores the UAE's leading role in effective regional and international humanitarian response and promotes a spirit of community participation in supporting urgent humanitarian causes.
