As part of their efforts to enhance traffic safety, Sharjah Police managed during Eid Al Etihad celebrations to seize 106 vehicles and 9 motorcycles whose drivers committed violations that posed a danger to road users.
The violations varied between making noise and disturbing others, driving recklessly and dangerously and driving without a driving licence.
Brigadier Khalid Al Kay, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, affirmed that Sharjah Police place great importance on curbing irresponsible traffic behaviour, especially during national events that demand everyone’s commitment and awareness.
Sharjah Police are continuing to intensify patrols and take legal action against offenders with a view to enhancing the security and safety of all members of society, he added.
