UAE marks 54th Eid Al Etihad with nationwide celebrations

Cities across the UAE are staging wide-ranging celebrations for the country’s 54th Eid Al Etihad, with government buildings, malls, streets and public squares adorned with national flags, lights, and decorations, reflecting the spirit of the national occasion.

Illuminations of various designs have created an extended panoramic spectacle, giving the UAE’s cities a distinctive celebratory character that blends authenticity with modernity. Public arenas are further embellished with interactive light shows, offering the public a vibrant visual experience.

The organising committee for the 54th Eid Al Etihad earlier announced events under the theme “United,” inviting all residents to take part in activities and community programmes across the seven emirates.

The official Eid Al Etihad ceremony will be screened at celebration sites nationwide, with the public also able to watch the live broadcast from Abu Dhabi in cinemas, on local TV channels, and via the Eid Al Etihad YouTube channel and official website.

Meanwhile, Khorfakkan is celebrating the 54th Eid Al Etihad, showcasing an atmosphere filled with joy and pride.

The event draws a large attendance of residents, visitors, and community members, all coming together to honour this significant occasion.

Khorfakkan is beautifully decorated with a vibrant national spirit that reflects the pride of its people in their heritage, identity, and deeply rooted values.

The celebrations featured a maritime parade with boats, organised by the Sharjah Fisheries Authority, the Khorfakkan Fishermen’s Association, and the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, along with various water sports activities.

The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre is hosting a special musical evening featuring artists Hussain Al Jasmi and Fouad Abdelwahid, blending art and authenticity to enhance the celebrations on the 29th of November.

Additionally, the amphitheatre will be hosting another musical event that will showcase Faiz Al Saeed, Khalifa Al Washahi, and Mohammed Al Mazem, offering free admission to all attendees, on the 1st of December

The celebrations also include the operetta “Pulse of the Nation,” which highlights the journey of the Union and the values of belonging, along with other folkloric dance performances.

The programme includes interactive activities such as youth council panel discussions, cultural and national platforms for children and young adults, and discussion sessions with senior citizens.

Additional highlights include poetry evenings and cultural competitions that attract significant public participation.

Various participants, including productive families, traditional and military performance groups, and food truck vendors, contribute to the festivities. A dedicated photography studio is available for visitors, enhancing the experience.

The celebrations feature folkloric and heritage shows that showcase the richness of Emirati identity.

During the celebration days, Khorfakkan is beautifully decorated with national flags and ornaments, creating a vibrant scene that reflects the community’s unity and pride in the values of the Union, which are fundamental to the strength and cohesion of the UAE.

Separately, Al Kharous celebrated yesterday the 54th Eid Al Etihad in vibrant national festivities filled with pride and belonging.

The celebrations brought together residents and visitors from across the neighbourhood in an event that embodied the spirit of the Union and reflected the values of community cohesion and pride in Emirati heritage.

The celebration activities began at 4:00pm with a national parade featuring the participation of government entities, schools, residents, and various community groups.

The parade started after the Asr prayer from in front of Al Sohba Al Salihah Mosque, in a scene that reflected the continuation of long-standing traditions in commemorating this cherished national occasion, expressing loyalty and belonging to the nation and its leadership.

Celebrations continued in Al Kharous Park, which witnessed a large turnout amid festive atmospheres marked by joy and vibrant community engagement.

The activities included national, cultural, and heritage segments, along with artistic presentations and folkloric performances delivered by various groups, highlighting a distinctive national character to the event.
