Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a man to repay Dhs1 million to a woman who filed a lawsuit demanding repayment of the amount he had taken under a signed trust deed.
In detail, a woman filed a lawsuit against a man, requesting that he be ordered to pay her Dhs1 million and to pay the fees and expenses of the case, explaining that the defendant had received the amount as a trust, to be returned upon request, and had signed a trust deed, but when she requested the amount, he did not do so.
The defendant insisted on his memorandum rejecting the lawsuit on the grounds that it was invalid and legally unfounded, and requested that the plaintiff be sworn to swear that he had received the amount stated in the trust receipt she had provided.
He also requested acquittal. The complainant took the oath in the specified form, and the court clarified that the decisive oath had settled the case and therefore ordered the defendant to pay the amount of Dhs1 million to the woman.
