Brigadier Sultan Khalifa Al Muhairi, Director General of Resources and Support Services at Ajman Police, on Wednesday honoured Shaima Ali at Musheiref Comprehensive Police Station, in appreciation of her honesty and good conduct.
The honouring ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Shaiba, Head of Musheiref Comprehensive Police Station, and the girl’s father.
Earlier, the girl found a sum of money in a public place and asked her older sister to take her to the police station, where she handed the money over to the police in an embodiment of the values of honesty and civilized behaviour that Ajman Police promoted among members of the society, especially children and the youth.
Praising the girl’s behaviour, Al Muhairi said it reflected good upbringing and community awareness and contributed to promoting a culture of returning others’ belongings and preserving public property.
He pointed out that honouring such positive role models came as part of the leadership’s keenness on instilling noble values in the younger generation and encouraging them to take the initiative and abide by ethical behaviours.
At the end of the meeting, Al Muhairi presented a certificate of appreciation and a gift to Shaima Ali in recognition of her honesty and thanked her family for their role in instilling these noble values.
