His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday approved the Government of Dubai's general budget cycle for the years 2026–2028. Total expenditure will be the highest in the emirate's history, amounting to Dhs302.7 billion.
The Dubai government's general budget for the years 2026–2028 was as follows:
Total expenditure: Dhs302.7 billion
Total revenues: Dhs329.2 billion
Operating surplus: 5%
His Highness also approved the Dubai government's general budget for fiscal year 2026.

Total revenues: Dhs107.7 billion
General reserve: Dhs 5 billion
Expenditure allocation: 28%
Community development sector: 18%
Security, justice and safety sector: 18%
Infrastructure and construction projects sector: 28%
Government development sector: 6%
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, stated that the Dubai government's budget cycle for the years 2026–2028 provides a financial plan to accelerate the realisation of Dubai's ambitions, enhancing the growth of its vital sectors and affirming its position as a global economic centre. This budget reflects the vision of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in achieving the goals of Dubai’s economic agenda, D33. The most important of these goals is to double Dubai’s GDP and establish it as one of the top three economic cities in the world by 2033.
