Coinciding with the United Arab Emirates' celebrations of its deep-rooted brotherly relations with the Sultanate of Oman, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs — Dubai (GDRFA) participated in the celebrations dedicated to welcoming Omani brothers arriving in the country via Hatta border crossing and Dubai International Airport, with a special initiative which embodied the spirit of love that unites the two peoples.
The reception included a commemorative stamp on passports and symbolic gifts expressing appreciation for this cherished national occasion.
Dubai was keen to embody these festive moments with a warm welcome and high-quality services, in line with the role played by the United Arab Emirates in strengthening Gulf ties and consolidating the values of brotherhood.
Participation in these events was attended by Major General Ahmed Mohammed Bin Thani, Director General of the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority, Brigadier Nabil Mohammed, Assistant Deputy Director General for Maritime and Land Ports, and Colonel Dr Rashid Obaid Al Ketbi, Director of Land Ports Passport Control, along with a number of leaders and employees who participated in presenting gifts and welcoming visitors.
On this occasion, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the GDRFA, emphasised that the celebration of the Omani brothers reflects the historical relations between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, noting that “what unites the two countries is not just borders, but bonds of brotherhood that stretch back through history.”
Al Marri added: “The entry system in Dubai is part of the UAE's image, and it is our responsibility to ensure that every guest has an experience that leaves a positive impression from the very first moment.”
With this celebration, Dubai renews its commitment to providing entry experiences that exceed travellers' expectations and reflect the bright image of the United Arab Emirates.
