The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has launched an initiative to issue a special stamp in the passports of participating delegations and visitors arriving in the UAE for the 2025 Dubai Airshow, which Dubai is hosting.
This step is part of the UAE's efforts to strengthen its global presence in the aviation and aerospace sectors, leveraging Dubai's status as a hub for innovation and leadership in these fields.
The stamp features the visual identity of the Dubai Airshow in a design that reflects the UAE's status as host of one of the world's leading aviation events.
It also highlights the collaboration between GDRFA and Dubai Airports in providing an entry experience that best represents the UAE. Dubai plays a pivotal role as the host city, being home to cutting-edge smart travel systems.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the GDRFA-Dubai, confirmed that this initiative reflects the UAE's approach to welcoming guests, adding that, as a global city, Dubai embodies this hospitality.
He said, "The Dubai International Airshow is a global platform that attracts experts and decision-makers from various countries. Through this partnership, we aim to enhance the welcoming experience that Dubai offers during the event and consolidate the image of the United Arab Emirates."
Major General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti, Assistant Director General of the Airports Affairs Sector, explained that preparations at the country's airports aim to enhance the nation's readiness to receive delegations. Dubai is at the forefront of these efforts, given its status as a major transit hub for the event.
He added that the official seal plays a key role in showcasing the event's identity and ensuring a consistent and positive experience for visitors, in line with the country's hospitality standards.
