'Be Cautious:' Abu Dhabi Police warn against fake calls, messages and links

As part of the “Be Cautious” campaign, the Abu Dhabi Police warned the public about fake calls, messages and links that may seem tempting, but which are actually fraudulent traps.

Scammers exploit occasions and events to deceive people and obtain their bank details by misleading means.

The Abu Dhabi Police also said, "Always remember never to share your password or disclose your bank card numbers or PIN. Never give out your security code (CCV) either."

The police emphasised that by refraining from clicking on suspicious links, individuals can safeguard themselves and their loved ones from the threat of online fraud.

The Abu Dhabi Police have urged anyone who has been the victim of a fraud attempt to report it immediately via the Aman service on 8002626, or to send a text message to 2828.
