Ajman Police stated that no delivery motorcycles were involved in accidents over the past six months, according to Major Rashid Hamid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police.
Bin Hindi added that traffic statistics showed a significant decrease in the accident rates of delivery motorcycles by 56% compared to the period before the "Safe Route" campaign, where the number of serious accidents dropped from 6 to 0, and minor accidents from 1 to 0.
This, he added, reflects the positive impact of the campaign in raising traffic awareness among delivery motorcycle drivers.
Bin Hindi explained that all recorded accidents were not committed by delivery bike riders, reflecting the high level of traffic discipline among this group, thanks to the intensification of awareness programs and field monitoring.
He added that 6,201 traffic violations related to dangerous behaviours by motorcycle riders were recorded, with 107 motorcycles impounded due to serious offenses such as driving against the flow of traffic, in prohibited areas, or in a manner that endangers the lives of drivers and road users.
He emphasised that Ajman Police continue to monitor and control negative behaviours to preserve lives and property.
The "Safe Route" campaign is part of the efforts of the Ajman Police within the framework of the Ministry of Interior's strategy aimed at making roads safer and supporting Ajman Vision 2030 in enhancing the quality of life, Bin Hindi added, affirming the continuation of the campaign in the upcoming phase through field awareness, smart monitoring, and cooperation with delivery companies to ensure a safe and sustainable traffic environment.
