The UAE will mark Flag Day tomorrow, Monday, with nationwide official and public celebrations.
At 11am, the UAE flag will be raised across ministries, government entities and institutions.
Flag Day is a national occasion observed annually, during which Emiratis and residents alike express their loyalty and devotion to the nation and its leadership, while renewing their commitment to the principles of the Founding Fathers.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, had earlier called on citizens, residents and all institutions across the country to raise the flag at 11am on 3rd November, as a symbol of unity and national pride, reflecting the spirit of the union and the people’s allegiance to their homeland and leadership.

In a post on X, His Highness said, “Brothers and sisters, on 3rd November we will celebrate Flag Day, an annual occasion on which we renew our pledge, reaffirm our loyalty and express our love for the UAE flag, the symbol of our sovereignty and flag of our union.”
The occasion embodies the UAE’s values of coexistence and peace among citizens and residents, reinforcing the country’s image as a beacon of tolerance and harmony in the region.
Ahmed Bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, stressed that Flag Day is a national occasion filled with pride and dignity, symbolising the strength and resilience of the Union’s foundations and the unity of the nation under the emblem of sovereignty.

He emphasised that preserving the UAE’s flag, our source of pride and sovereignty, embodies our loyalty and commitment to continuing the nation’s path of achievement, united around the wise leadership that spares no effort to ensure the happiness of its people and elevate society to new horizons of prosperity and well-being.
In a statement on Flag Day, Al Sayegh said, “The UAE flag that we proudly fly today is the first line written in the story of our Union, while its colours continue to soar high across the skies of the nation’s achievements in every sector. It stands out as a testament to the UAE’s distinguished status on the global stage, guided by the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, as the nation builds solid foundations for a brighter future leading up to its Centennial 2071.”
Dr Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, stressed that Flag Day is a timeless national occasion that tells the story of a nation that has become a source of inspiration by its achievements and generosity.
Flag Day celebrates the country’s proud journey initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Founding Fathers who raised the Union flag fifty-four years ago.
That flag has since then become a symbol of pride and dignity and a testament to a glorious past and enduring achievements across all fields.

He added that the UAE’s leadership journey continues today under the wise vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is steering the nation toward new heights of progress and empowerment, ensuring that the UAE remains strong under his leadership, ambitious in its vision, and an enduring source of inspiration for generations, instilling in all the values of loyalty and devotion to the nation.
Dr Al Olama also noted that this year’s celebration, which coincides with the “Year of the Community,” reaffirms that the UAE flag will always stand out as a symbol of unity and cohesion, guiding the nation’s collective journey towards a brighter future built on teamwork, deepening national identity, and fostering progress and innovation to achieve sustainable development and realise the UAE Centennial 2071 vision.
Al Olama emphasised that MoHAP will spare no effort to ensure the sustainability of this mission by empowering national talents and developing an integrated preventive healthcare system that enhances quality of life and fulfils the wise leadership’s vision of shaping a safe and healthy future for generations to come.
