Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, expressed his gratitude to the UAE's teams for their humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip.
These efforts included providing massive amounts of food and medical aid, as well as supporting the residents of the Strip by land, sea and air.
He noted that the total value of the comprehensive humanitarian aid was $2.57 billion.
In a post on the 'X' platform, Gargash said, "Thanks and appreciation to the UAE teams for their humanitarian efforts in Gaza: $2.57 billion in comprehensive humanitarian support; over 100,000 tonnes of urgent aid; over 40% of total international humanitarian aid directed to Gaza; 712 relief flights and 221 airdrops"
"10,000 trucks and 21 ships carrying food and medicine; treatment for 2,961 injured people, cancer patients, and children from Gaza in UAE hospitals; 53,375 people treated by the UAE field hospital in Gaza; 20,990 people treated by the UAE floating hospital in Al-Arish; provision of 2 million gallons of water for 1 million people daily; provision of bread for 76,000 people daily by 20 bakeries; and provision of meals for 286,000 people daily. This is the UAE... a stance, humanity and generosity."
