The tenth edition of the Emirati Media Forum kicked off at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and in the presence of Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
The Dubai Press Club organised the forum, which brought together prominent Emirati media figures and leaders, including writers, thinkers, heads of media institutions and networks, editors-in-chief of Emirati newspapers, digital platform executives, and influencers and content creators.
The UAE's print, visual, audio and digital media were honoured in a gesture of appreciation for the national media's efforts to keep pace with the comprehensive development boom witnessed by the country under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and with the support of their brothers, Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
This is a journey aimed at taking the UAE to the highest levels of excellence with a unique development model that has now become a source of inspiration globally.
During the forum, Sheikha Latifa honoured the Al Khaleej newspaper. Raed Barqawi, the Executive Editor-in-Chief, received the award on its behalf.
He stated that private media institutions require more support to retain talent amid intense competition.
