In cooperation with Operation Gallant Knight 3 in the Gaza Strip, field distribution teams from the Sharjah Charity International have begun handing out winter aid packages which recently arrived in the Strip on a relief plane departing from Sharjah International Airport.
This is the first stage of the 'Emirati Relief' campaign, which is being carried out under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The campaign aims to provide urgent relief to families affected by the harsh winter weather in the Gaza Strip, thanks to the generosity of donors.
Teams began distributing aid to various locations, including schools, homes and shelters. The aid included packages of warm clothing, blankets and cold protection materials, benefiting thousands of families affected by difficult humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
To ensure the aid reached those who needed it as quickly as possible, it was delivered directly to shelters and camps distributed throughout the Strip. This approach achieved the desired humanitarian impact.
Abdullah Sultan Bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International, said that the distribution process complements the association's ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people. He explained that field teams are working around the clock to provide aid to as many families as possible, as part of a precise distribution plan coordinated with official bodies in the sector to ensure fairness in aid delivery.
He emphasised that these efforts reflect the wise leadership's directives and continue the UAE's tradition of helping those in need around the world, particularly during humanitarian crises.
Ibn Khadem emphasised that the Sharjah Charity International greatly appreciates the support of the philanthropists and charitable individuals who contributed to funding this campaign.
He noted that their donations had given hope to thousands of Palestinian families. He added that the association would continue to implement sustainable humanitarian and relief projects to alleviate suffering and preserve human dignity.
