His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday (Oct.23, 2025) will honour the champions of the Arab Reading Challenge 2025 at the conclusion of the qualifying rounds of the ninth edition of the world's largest Arabic-language reading event.
The grand closing ceremony, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will see the crowning of the Arab Reading Challenge 2025 champion, the winner of the People of Determination category, the 'Outstanding School', the 'Outstanding Supervisor', and the Communities category champion.
Now in its ninth year, the Arab Reading Challenge, organised by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, saw a record number of participants, with over 32 million students from 50 countries representing 132,112 schools taking part under the supervision of 161,004 educators.
The winner of the Arab Reading Challenge will receive a cash prize of Dhs500,000, the runner-up will receive Dhs100,000, and the third-place winner will receive Dhs70,000.The winner of the People of Determination category of the Arab Reading Challenge receives a prize of Dhs200,000, while the runner-up receives Dhs100,000 and the third-place winner receives Dhs50,000.
The Arab Reading Challenge allocates a total of Dhs200,000 in prizes for the community category: Dhs100,000 for first place, Dhs70,000 for second place, and Dhs30,000 for third place.
The school that wins the 'Distinguished School' title receives a prize of Dhs1 million, while the Arab Reading Challenge allocates Dhs500,000 to the runner-up and Dhs300,000 to the third-place winner.
In the Outstanding Supervisor' category, the first-place winner receives Dhs300,000, the second-place winner receives Dhs100,000 and the third-place winner receives Dhs50,000.
