The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the Al Qusais Police Station, honoured Hibatallah Ahmed Muzamil Ahmed Ghandour, a student at the American International School, in the presence of faculty members and classmates. Ghandour surprised the police officer who directs traffic outside her school by presenting him with a letter thanking Dubai Police for their distinguished service in promoting security and safety.
In her letter, student Hebatallah wrote, "What you are doing sets an exemplary standard of professionalism and competence, and we are proud to have you as the first line of defence for this country and its people. I can only thank you for your dedication to your work, your prompt responses and your willingness to help anyone in need."
In a special gesture in front of her colleagues, Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Mohammed Salem, Director of Al Qusais Police Station, and his deputy, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al Hashimi, honoured student Hiba Allah Ahmed Muzamil Ahmed Ghandour in appreciation of her initiative.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Mohammed noted that her words had been well received by the police officers and reflected the student's commitment to spreading positive values, something that they always strive for in our community outreach and initiatives.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Mohammed explained that the honouring forms part of the 'We Reach You to Thank You' initiative, which aims to honour collaborators and external partners among their colleagues in their respective locations. He praised the students' dedication and love for the UAE. Captain Saeed Atiq Al Ketbi, Director of the Community Relations Department, also praised the initiative, saying that it reflects the community's awareness, particularly among students, of the important role played by police officers in maintaining security and promoting peace of mind. He added that such actions embody the values of mutual respect and appreciation between the police and community members. He added that the Community Relations Department is always keen to promote positive communication with various segments of society, instilling the values of social responsibility through community initiatives and joint activities that reinforce the concept of community partnership.
Student Hebatallah Ahmed Ghandour was surprised when the school administration summoned her to meet a Dubai Police delegation. She thanked the Dubai Police General Command for the honour.
She said that she sees police officers in her school area every day, helping regulate traffic and assist parents and students, which instils a sense of security and safety. Inspired by these efforts, she wrote a letter to the police officer stationed outside her school to express her gratitude and love for the UAE.
