Dhs175 billion spent on development of Dubai roads in last two decades, says Sheikh Mohammed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, through the X platform on Monday stated that two decades prior, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) was established in Dubai.
During this period, the government made a substantial investment of over Dhs175 billion in the development of road infrastructure, Sheikh Mohammed added.
In addition, significant investment has been made in the development of a highly skilled team, as well as the acquisition of invaluable knowledge and expertise with regard to the construction and management of infrastructure projects.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid further said, "At present, we take great pride in our team, however the mission has not yet reached its conclusion. The responsibility has been increased twofold. It is becoming increasingly evident that transportation challenges are being exacerbated by the city's exceptional growth rate. The future assumes greater importance than the past, given that the ongoing progression of development is contingent upon the uninterrupted movement of individuals. We will not be complacent about this vital issue in our development journey."
