The Dubai Police General Command, through its participation in GITEX Global 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, showcased its integrated smart traffic violation system.
This system operates without human intervention, monitoring and recording five types of violation via live broadcast and providing instant analysis of traffic compliance.
Visitors to the Dubai Police stand were introduced to this system, which is based on artificial intelligence and smart data analysis. The system was developed to provide an accurate and efficient unified platform for issuing violations.
Lieutenant Engineer Ahmed Al Hammadi explained that the system aims to improve the performance of traffic police officers in the field, enhance the quality of traffic-related decisions by automating procedures and free up human resources for more strategic tasks.
He added that the system is smarter, fairer and more efficient, contributing to enhanced traffic safety and supporting Dubai's vision of "the smart safe city".
Types of violations
The Dubai Police explained that the system monitors the following five types of violation: failing to fasten a seatbelt; using a mobile phone while driving; obstructing traffic; stopping in the middle of the road without justification; and failing to keep sufficient distance between vehicles.
Instant compliance analysis
The system displays live data on monitored vehicles and issued violations, enabling immediate and accurate analysis of traffic compliance in the city.
It also provides detailed statistics on the number of vehicles on various roads in Dubai by hour, day and year. This enables the relevant authorities to make informed decisions based on realistic, up-to-date data, supporting smart traffic planning and rapid responses.
