Light to heavy rain fell on Monday in various locations, including Al Dhafra, Al Nouf, the Abu Dhabi–Al Dhafra Road, the Central Region, Huwailat, Al Manai, Wadi Al Ajili, Wadi Al Qour, Wadi Al Helo, Hatta and Masafi in the Eastern Region, as well as along the Khorfakkan Road.
Further rain is expected in the east and south of the country today, due to an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, as forecaste by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM also expects clear to partly cloudy weather on Tuesday, with a chance of cumulus clouds and rain in the east and south.
It will be humid overnight and on Wednesday morning in some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of light fog. Winds will be southeasterly, turning northwesterly, and will range from light to moderate in speed.
These winds may occasionally pick up, causing dust at speeds ranging from 15 to 30 km/h, reaching 40 km/h at times. The sea will be light to medium in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
On Wednesday, the NCM expects the weather to be clear to partly cloudy, with low clouds forming over some eastern and southern areas. It will be humid overnight and on Thursday morning in some coastal and inland areas, with a possibility of light fog forming.
Winds will be southeasterly, turning northwesterly and ranging from light to moderate in speed, occasionally reaching 35 km/h with speeds of 10–25 km/h. Waves will be light to medium in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
On Thursday, it is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, with occasional cloudiness in some areas. It will be humid at night and on Friday morning in some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of light fog. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h, and will blow from southeasterly to northeasterly. The waves will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
It also expects that the weather on Friday will be generally clear to partly cloudy. It will be humid at night and on Saturday morning in some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light mist, especially in the west. The wind will blow from the southeast, shifting to the northwest, and will be light to moderate in speed, occasionally reaching speeds of 10 to 25 km/h and occasionally reaching 35 km/h. The waves will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
