Splendour of Islamic Architecture
This mosque is a prime example of Emirati Islamic architecture. It is the largest mosque in Al Ain and one of the most beautiful and significant in the UAE. Named after the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, it was built in the Al Ma'had neighbourhood of Al Ain in 1948, adjacent to Al Muwaiji Fort and one of the oldest mosques, which was discovered 1,000 years ago.
