The Dubai Police General Command has warned of the dangers of driving against traffic, as this significantly increases the risk of fatal collisions. This puts the lives of drivers and pedestrians at risk, disrupts traffic and causes significant material and human losses.
Dubai Police have confirmed that the fine for driving against traffic is Dhs600, four black points, and vehicle impoundment for seven days. Article 98 of the Traffic Law also applies, stipulating a fine of Dhs500 for obstructing traffic.
Dubai Police also emphasised the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations, highlighting that such dangerous behaviour can have serious consequences for drivers and other road users in terms of life and property.
