The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced the temporary closure of the Mohammed Bin Musa Al Khwarizmi Street in the Al Juraina area, near University Hospital. This is part of a project to improve traffic flow and efficiency in the area.
The SRTA explained that the closure would begin on Friday (Oct.10, 2025) and continue until Sunday, (Oct.12, 2025).
The work will involve a series of engineering improvements to upgrade the road's infrastructure and accommodate the area's increasing traffic volume.
The authority confirmed that the project would be completed by work teams to the highest quality and safety standards, and as quickly as possible, in order to minimise any impact on road users.
The Authority urged road users to follow the road signs posted at the work site and to take the alternative routes indicated by the green lines on the attached map.
These routes have been designed to ensure smooth traffic flow, particularly for those travelling to University Road, Al-Jarina, and the surrounding area.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to developing the infrastructure of the road network and improving traffic safety across the various regions of the emirate, thereby contributing to Sharjah's urban development goals. The importance of adhering to traffic regulations to ensure everyone's safety was also emphasised.
