The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast a drop in temperatures on Friday, with light to moderate, and occasionally heavy, rainfall expected intermittently, particularly in the northern and eastern areas, until next Tuesday.
The NCM has noted that the rain will spread to some inland and western areas as the country is affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the south and an upper-atmospheric low-pressure system accompanied by relatively cold, humid air.
The NCM has also expected the possibility of small hail falling in limited areas. It explained that the winds would be southeasterly to northeasterly and would turn northwesterly. They would be light to moderate in speed and active to strong at times. This may cause dust and dirt storms. The sea will have light to medium waves and may become rough at times, with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Thursday, the weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, with cumulus clouds possibly forming in the east in the afternoon. It will be humid over some coastal and inland areas at night and on Friday morning. Winds will be light to moderate in speed, southeasterly to northeasterly, sometimes active, ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and reaching 35 km/h. The waves will be mild in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Sea of Oman.
On Friday, the weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with clouds towering over the east and south in the afternoon. There may be a drop in temperature. It will be humid at night and on Saturday morning in some coastal and inland areas. Winds will be southeasterly, turning northwesterly. They will be light to moderate in speed, sometimes reaching 35 km/h, with gusts of 10 to 25 km/h. The waves will be mild in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The NCM expecting Saturday's weather to be clear to partly cloudy, with a chance of cumulus clouds and rain in the east and south. Winds will be southeasterly, turning northwesterly. They will be light to moderate in speed, sometimes stronger, causing dust, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and reaching 40 km/h. The waves will be light to medium in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Sunday, it will be mostly sunny, with a chance of cumulus clouds and rain in the east. Winds will be light to moderate in speed, southeasterly to northeasterly, ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and sometimes reaching 40 km/h. The waves will be light to medium in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
