The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that the tropical cyclone Shakti is currently a tropical depression in the west of the Arabian Sea, centred at a latitude of 19°N and a longitude of 60.5°E. Wind speeds around the centre range between 30-40 km/h.
In its latest update, the NCM explained that forecasts indicate the tropical depression would dissipate within the next six hours, transforming into a low-pressure system and moving southeastward with wind speeds between 20-30 km/h.
The NCM confirmed that tropical cyclone Shakti is not having any impact on the country.
