Ahmed Bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, led the UAE’s delegation taking part in the 11th meeting of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Health in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the 88th GCC Health Ministers meeting, hosted by Kuwait in the presence of GCC Health Ministers.
The UAE’s participation aims to strengthen Gulf health cooperation by advancing joint workstreams and implementing integrated projects, contributing to greater efficiency in the health systems of the member states and enhancing partnership and coordination among them.
Ahmed Al Sayegh stressed that the UAE’s participation in these meetings follows the directives of our wise leadership to promote the joint Gulf health agenda, improve quality of life and raise the standard of healthcare services provided to GCC communities.
It also demonstrates a firm commitmaent to continue supporting Gulf integrative projects to secure health systems that are more efficient and sustainable.
Al Sayegh added: “The UAE attaches utmost importance to strengthening the health security of the GCC states through disease-prevention programmes, exchange of health data and expertise. The UAE is committed to developing Gulf medical competencies to keep pace with rapid advances in health innovation and advanced medical technology. These efforts represent essential pillars for building more resilient and efficient health systems.”
Ahmed Al Sayegh noted that the joint Gulf health agenda provides a strategic framework for cooperation, fostering the exchange of best practices, supporting joint initiatives, and adopting innovative digital solutions, thereby consolidating a unified Gulf vision for the health sector and raising its standing regionally and globally.
