UAE mission in Rome issues safety advisory for Emiratis in Italy amid demonstrations

The UAE Mission in Rome has called on Emirati citizens currently in Italy to remain vigilant and avoid areas witnessing demonstrations or public gatherings. The advisory comes amid reports of protests taking place in various Italian cities, which could potentially affect public order and safety.

The mission stressed the importance of adhering to security instructions and guidelines issued by local Italian authorities. Citizens have been reminded that their safety is a top priority, and avoiding potentially volatile areas is the best way to stay protected during periods of heightened tension.

The UAE Mission also advised nationals to remain in regular contact with the embassy and consular offices while in Italy, especially if they face any challenges related to safety or travel disruptions. For urgent assistance, citizens can reach out to UAE authorities through the emergency numbers 0097180024 and 0097180044444.

In addition, the mission encouraged Emiratis to make use of the Tawajudi service, an electronic system launched by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure communication with citizens abroad and provide support in times of crisis. Registration in the service enables the ministry to reach out quickly and offer assistance if needed.

The embassy reiterated that the UAE leadership attaches the highest importance to the safety and well-being of its citizens overseas and continues to work closely with host countries to ensure their protection.
