Netanyahu’s residence open window in New York sparks security concerns

Hebrew media outlets published a photo of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, revealing a serious security breach while he was at his residence in a New York hotel to attend the UN General Assembly meetings last week.

Netanyahu appeared through an open window, holding talks with guests in his hotel room without curtains or security measures.

Former Israeli military official Ronen Cohen said that a hotel neighbor took the photo as Netanyahu appeared through the window.

Eyewitnesses reported that the windows of Netanyahu's residence were left open for hours without any security precautions.

Netanyahu had increased his security detail and the staff accompanying him, while tightening the strict protocols followed in his movements and visits, especially those abroad, after the October 7 attack.
