VIDEO: Sharjah Police seize vehicle after motorist caught driving on sidewalk

Sharjah Police seized a vehicle seen in a video circulating on social media driven on a sidewalk in clear violation of traffic laws, endangering the safety of road users.

The vehicle was identified and the necessary legal measures were taken. It was impounded for 60 days, while the driver was slapped with a fine and black points. The incident was then referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

Sharjah Police emphasized that such behaviour poses a direct threat to the safety of society, underlining the importance of abiding by traffic laws and the need for drivers to be aware and responsible while driving.

They also commended the role of community members in reporting such violations, noting that they would continue to detect violations for the ultimate end of preserving the security and safety of society.
