The wedding of Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi’s daughter was marked by a scene of beauty and emotion, as the bride, radiant in white, took the stage under glowing lights. For many, it was a picture-perfect celebration, but for Sheikha Bodour, it was a deeply personal moment — watching her little girl step into a new chapter of life.
The bride, granddaughter of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, was married on Sunday, September 21.
The joyous news was shared by her mother the following day.
Sheikha Bodour wrote on Instagram, “Watching my daughter walk down the aisle in her wedding dress yesterday was one of the most emotional, heartwarming moments of my life. The little girl whose hand I used to hold is now a stunning, graceful woman beginning a new journey of her own. As her mother, it fills my heart with indescribable pride and gratitude to witness the incredible person she’s become—kind, strong, loving, and full of grace.
“What a blessing it is to have walked beside her through every chapter, and now to watch her step into this new one. She may be a bride today, but she will always be my little girl.”
Sheikha Bodour, widely recognised for her dedication to promoting Emirati culture, heritage, and women’s empowerment, expressed her pride and happiness by posting a photograph from the ceremony. The image captured her daughter standing gracefully beneath a canopy adorned with delicate, bird-like decorations and surrounded by flowers — a setting as graceful as the occasion itself.
Sheikha Bodour shared another heartfelt note posing for a picture with her husband, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
She wrote, “Time moves swiftly, yet within its quiet rhythm, we are given the greatest gift — watching our children grow. Every laugh, every step, every moment becomes a thread in the tapestry of our lives. To walk this sacred journey beside you, raising souls with love and intention, is more than a blessing — it’s a purpose, a legacy, a quiet kind of forever.”
