The Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room reported that firefighting teams had managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in a residential building in Al Barsha area in Dubai on Tuesday, with no casualties.
Firefighting teams were mobilised immediately upon receiving the report at 02:11 pm, arriving at the scene in just six minutes. The fire was dealt with swiftly and the evacuation was completed.
The Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room confirmed that the fire had been completely extinguished and that the site would be handed over to the relevant authorities once cooling operations were complete.
Earlier in the day, Dubai Civil Defence used a drone as part of the Shaheen system to extinguish a fire that broke out in a building in the Al Barsha area.
Shaheen drones can fight fires in buildings up to 200 metres tall and are equipped with a 1,200-litre tank containing water and fire-extinguishing materials.
