Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) is currently implementing 11 electricity transmission and distribution stations across various areas of the Emirate at a cost of approximately Dhs296 million, according to Engineer Hamad Al Teneiji, Director of the Energy Transmission Department at SEWA.
Al Teneiji stated that these projects are a strategic step toward enhancing the infrastructure of the electrical transmission network in the Emirate of Sharjah, aiming to meet the needs of rapid growth across different sectors and ensure the continuity of energy supply with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability.
He affirmed that the authority is committed to completing the work according to the specified timelines, while applying the latest technologies and global standards at all project stages.
Engineer Abdullah Al Kous, Deputy Director of the Energy Transmission Department at SEWA, noted that the energy transmission stations currently being implemented by the authority include Umm Al Tarafa Station with 99% completion, costing Dhs13,500,000, Al Falah Station with 94% completion, costing Dhs20,935,000, Al Hamriyah 11 Station with 87.71% completion, costing Dhs30,200,000, temporary Station IA-3A in Industrial 3 with 81.5% completion, costing Dhs1,845,000, Sports Centre Station with 61% completion, costing Dhs53,574,617, a mobile Station with 65% completion, costing Dhs17,385,000, Al Rahmaniyah-5 Station with 18.7% completion, costing Dhs31,500,000, Maryam Island Station with 16.9% completion, costing Dhs28,392,020, Al Suyoh Station with 7.6% completion, costing Dhs34,678,000, and Muwailih 7 Station with 3.8% completion, costing Dhs30,500,953, besides expanding Industrial 10 Station with 10% completion, costing Dhs33,383,810.
Al Kous added that most of these stations are expected to enter service in the coming periods according to the specified schedule.
