Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Monitoring and Control Centre and as part of the "Your Comment" initiative, released a video of an accident caused by entering the road without ensuring it was clear of vehicles.
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to ensure the road is clear before entering it, to enhance their safety while driving.
This can be achieved by following 5 rules, including reducing speed when approaching a road entrance, using turn signals to indicate your intention to enter the road, proceeding cautiously if there is a vehicle stopped ahead, giving priority to vehicles coming from the main road, and finally by ensuring the road is clear of vehicles before proceeding.
The directorate emphasised that the penalty for entering the road without ensuring it is clear is Dhs400 and 4 traffic points.
