The Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment, operating under the Department of Agriculture and Livestock, has signed a strategic agreement with the Al Waha Livestock Company, owners of the Zabehaty smart delivery app.
As part of this partnership, Ektifa's organic meat and poultry products will be made available for purchase via the app and delivered across all UAE emirates.
The agreement was signed by Dr Engineer Khalifa Musabeh Al Teneiji, CEO of Ektifa, and Ali Mohsen Amer Shujaa, General Manager of Al Waha Company.
The partnership aims to promote innovation and implement best practices in the preparation, cutting, packaging, and delivery of organic meat and poultry.
It also supports collaboration with private sector companies, contributing to the goals of the national investment strategy and enhancing the UAE’s economic competitiveness, both regionally and globally.
Dr. Khalifa Al Teneiji emphasised that Ektifa is committed to using modern technologies and digital tools to sell its products, which will significantly improve the customer shopping experience. This partnership enables consumers to easily access Ektifa’s products, aligning with the corporation’s digital marketing strategy and increasing its presence in the local market.
He also mentioned that collaborating with Al Waha through the 'Zabehaty' app reflects Ektifa's wider vision of strengthening ties with the private sector.
He described private companies as vital partners in achieving sustainability and in providing advanced, smart services that benefit society. This initiative is in line with the UAE’s ambition to be a global leader in all fields, particularly smart services that improve quality of life.
Dr. Khalifa Al Teneiji also revealed that the partnership will support an upcoming initiative to promote products from licensed livestock breeders and farm owners. This will enable them to market their goods through an app that adheres to high standards of reliability and quality.
Ali Mohsen Amer Shujaa, General Manager of Al Waha Company, described the partnership with Ektifa as a significant milestone in fostering public-private collaboration.
He emphasised its importance in developing joint projects and providing valuable services to the community, thereby promoting sustainable economic growth and enhancing overall well-being.
He added that the 'Zabehaty' app makes it easier for customers to buy organic meat and poultry, eliminating the need to visit markets. A qualified team, including veterinarians, administrators and workers, handles the entire process on the customer's behalf, ensuring that products are delivered at the specified time and place. The app now showcases Ektifa’s comprehensive selection of organic products available throughout the UAE.
