On Saturday evening, rain fell in the Thuban area of Fujairah, Al Dhaid and Al Madam areas of Sharjah’s Central Region, along with Masafi and Murbad areas of the Eastern Region, according to the Storm Center.
Rains are expected to continue in the eastern and southern regions on Saturday and Sunday, due to the country being affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the east, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper-level low-pressure system.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects Sunday’s weather to be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of some convective clouds forming in the eastern and southern regions, accompanied by rainfall.
It will be humid during the night and on early Sunday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog formation.
Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h. The waves will be light in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Sunday, the weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of some convective clouds forming in the eastern and southern regions, accompanied by rainfall. It will be humid during the night and on early Monday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog formation.
Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h while the waves will be light in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Monday, the weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy and occasionally cloudy, especially in the eastern and southern regions, but humid during the night and on early Tuesday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or light fog formation.
Winds will be southeasterly, turning northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 35 km/h and the waves will be light in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
For Tuesday, the NCM stated that the weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with clouds appearing in the eastern and southern regions, with a slight drop in temperatures along the coast but will be humid during the night and on early Wednesday morning over some coastal and inland areas.
