On the auspicious occasion of Emirati Women’s Day 2025, Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Space Agency, affirmed that Emirati women have, over the past five decades, established themselves as a cornerstone of the UAE’s journey of progress and prosperity. They have embodied, in the most remarkable way, the values instilled by our Founding Fathers, and have consistently risen to their responsibilities with confidence, writing new chapters of excellence and success across various sectors.
Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi praised the extensive support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak – Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) – and her unwavering commitment to empowering Emirati women in every possible way, rooted in a deep belief in their ability to lead, achieve and fulfill their responsibilities to the fullest.
Al Falasi stated: “Throughout the years, Emirati women have played a pivotal role in building a cohesive society and raising beautiful generations through their contributions as mothers and wives. With determination and perseverance, they have gone further, participating effectively in shaping our nation’s prosperous present and radiant future, under the guidance and with the full support of our wise leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him. This year’s theme – ‘Together We Celebrate 50 Years’ – shines a spotlight on the pioneering accomplishments of Emirati women over the past five decades and the vital role they continue to play in every sector.”
Al Falasi concluded: “The celebration of Emirati Women’s Day is a joyous national occasion on which we reaffirm our commitment to the Emirati Woman, take pride in her achievements and reiterate our deep belief in her role as a key partner in the nation’s journey of progress, reflecting the wise vision of our leadership and reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global model for women’s empowerment.”
