During a conversation with the Direct Line programme, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced to the people of Dibba Al Hisn that work was underway to develop Dibba Al Hisn Fort archaeological site to get it registered with UNESCO.
The project includes three archaeological sites from different eras, stacked one on top of the other, while a beautifully designed canopy would protect the site from rain and visitors from the sun’s heat, he said, adding that the project would preserve the heritage of Dibba Al Hisn.
