UAE President inspires students with message on education, values, and AI

At the commencement of the 2024-2025 academic year, the President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, delivered a voice message to all schools across the country, through which he extended congratulations to students, educators, and all those engaged in the nation's educational endeavours. He advocated for the preservation of cultural heritage and the conscientious utilisation of artificial intelligence.

His Highness said, "Peace be upon you, my sons and daughters, my brothers and sisters, the students, the teachers and administrators, and the fathers and mothers. I would like to congratulate you on the start of the new school year and wish you all success in your studies."

His Highness added, "Education is the foundation of our vision for the future, and each one of you is contributing to building that future. I urge you, my students, to embrace education with passion because it is the foundation upon which you will build your future and serve your country.'

His Highness continued, "I urge you to cultivate good manners, take pride in your national identity and the Arabic language, and prioritise artificial intelligence as a pivotal direction for the future. My children, I want you utilise technological advancements with a consciousness and responsibility."

His Highness added, "I tell teachers, that we trust you with our children and have great confidence in your ability to instil our values in them. It is also essential to promote the values of building a family as a sound foundation for society in our schools and homes. Finally, cooperation between families and schools is essential for the success of the educational process. Remember that your success is the success of your family and your country."

Many school students across the country expressed their overwhelming happiness as they listened to the speech delivered by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to mark the start of the new school year. They expressed their pride in this paternal gesture, saying that it had given them a strong boost of enthusiasm and confidence and would motivate them to work harder and take their education more seriously.

The students expressed their profound gratitude for the leadership's dedication to direct communication with them. It was considered that His Highness's words represented solid paternal advice, conveying a commitment to knowledge and values. This initiative has been shown to engender a heightened sense of awareness regarding their role and responsibility in serving the nation.

Students told Al Khaleej that His Highness's statement, in which he called for every student to be a role model at school and at home, reflects the leadership's deep commitment to instilling positive values and behaviour before academic excellence. They also noted that His Highness's comments on artificial intelligence and technology demonstrate the leadership's dedication to equipping them with the skills needed for a future based on creativity and innovation. They affirmed that they would take these words as a source of inspiration throughout their academic journey.

For their part, the teachers emphasised that His Highness's praise of the combined role of family and school comes at a time when the educational process requires this integration, particularly given the rapid global changes taking place. They noted that the Emirati values His Highness emphasised are the true guarantee of creating a generation that is both knowledgeable and ethical.
