Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed a series of vital projects in the Central Region from June 2024 to June 2025.
These projects included high and low voltage extensions, replacing overhead lines with underground cables to enhance network stability, and providing optimal services across various areas.
Additionally, services were connected to 108 projects across different sectors, 20 road lighting projects were implemented, and cables totaling 136,181 metres in length were extended in the Central Region cities of Al Bataeh, Al Madam, Mleiha, and Al Dhaid, at a cost of Dhs105.723 million.
Engineer Khalifa Mohammed Al Teneiji, Director of the Central Region Department at SEWA, stated that the authority continues to implement developmental projects in the Central Region, ensuring all necessary resources are available to execute projects according to the highest standards.
He emphasised that the ongoing energy infrastructure upgrades in the Central Region are in line with the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the continuous follow-up of Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Al Teneiji affirmed that the projects executed by SEWA to upgrade networks in the Central Region contribute to the sustainability of services in the commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential, and governmental sectors, adhering to the best standards.
