UAE weather body predicts drop in temperature, sandstorms

The National Meteorological Centre (NCM) expects temperatures to drop from Thursday, with sandstorms forecast from Tuesday until Friday, as the country is affected by an eastern low-pressure system accompanied by a weak upper-atmospheric low.
The NCM stated that maximum temperatures would range between 30 and 47°C, and minimum temperatures between 25 and 33°C.
They noted that today's weather would be partly cloudy, with the possibility of cumuliform clouds in the east and south in the afternoon. These would be accompanied by rain and southeasterly to northeasterly winds, which would be light to moderate in speed and occasionally active during the day.
This would cause dust and light waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, with speeds of 10 to 25 km/h and occasional gusts reaching 35 km/h.
The Wednesday's weather will generally be cloudy, with a chance of cumulus clouds and rain in the east and south in the afternoon. There will be a shift in winds from southwesterly to light to moderate northeasterly, occasionally stirring up dust and sand, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and reaching up to 40 km/h. The sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
On Thursday, the weather is expected to be cloudy with occasional sunshine over some eastern and southern areas, with a chance of rain and a drop in temperature. Winds will be southwesterly to northeasterly, and will be light to moderate in speed.
They will sometimes be active during the day, causing dust and sandstorms. They will range in speed from 10 to 25 km/h, reaching 40 km/h at times. The sea will be mild in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The Friday's weather, the NCM expects it to be partly to mostly cloudy over some eastern and southern areas at times, with southwesterly winds turning northeasterly.
These winds will be light to moderate in speed and sometimes active during the day, causing dust storms with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and reaching 35 km/h. The sea will be light in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
