Cumulus clouds accompanied by rain and dust-stirring winds are expected to form on Monday (Aug.18) and continue for three days as a result of the country being affected by an extension of a weak surface low-pressure system from the east, accompanied by an extension of a weak low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The maximum temperature ranges between 30 and 49 degrees Celsius and the minimum between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius.
The weather on Monday will be clear to partly cloudy and cloudy at times in some eastern and southern areas with a chance of drizzles. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times during the day at 10 to 25 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Tuesday’s weather will be partly cloudy in general with a chance for some cumulus clouds to form in the east in the afternoon, possibly accompany by rains. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times during the day at 10 to 25 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general with a chance for some cumulus clouds to form in the east in the afternoon, possibly accompanied by rains. Light to moderate southwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
Thursday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general, accompanied by rains in most areas. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
